These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of FinancialOS (the "App"), provided by Rafael Carri贸n ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing, downloading, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
FinancialOS is a personal finance dashboard that runs entirely on your own device. It helps you track monthly cash flow, budget, net worth, and retirement projections. It is sold as a one-time purchase through Gumroad, as a native app for Mac and for Windows. The same license also unlocks a free companion app for iPhone on the App Store, and an Android version currently in beta testing on Google Play.
When you purchase a license, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your own personal and household financial planning, on up to 4 devices per license. This license is yours to keep, and includes future updates to the version you purchased at no extra cost.
You may inspect and modify your own copy of the App for your personal use. You may not:
Each license supports activation on up to 4 devices. The App stores an anonymous device identifier on your device and checks it against our license service to enforce this limit (see our Privacy Policy for details). License keys are issued and verified through Gumroad's purchase records. We may deactivate a license key that we reasonably believe is being shared or used in violation of these Terms.
Purchases are processed by Gumroad, and your purchase is also subject to Gumroad's Terms of Service. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied within 30 days of purchase, email us and we will issue a full refund. We do not receive or store your payment card details; those are handled entirely by Gumroad.
FinancialOS keeps your financial data on your own device or in your own storage of choice (the app's own storage, a local file you manage, or your private Google Drive AppData folder). We do not have access to your financial data, and we are not responsible for backing it up, recovering it, or restoring it. You are responsible for backing up your own data. How the App handles data, including the limited Google Drive access and license validation, is described in full in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

All calculations, budgets, net-worth figures, and retirement projections are estimates based on the information and assumptions you enter. They are illustrative, are not guarantees of future results, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any financial decision. You should consult a qualified financial advisor, tax professional, or other licensed professional before making important financial decisions. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions and their outcomes.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any calculation will be free of inaccuracies.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or financial losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App. In all cases, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the provider resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there.
